After Jackson graduated from Central High School, he attended WDVT, SDSU and went on to graduate from BHSU. He was a life-long teacher and worked in a psychiatric ward, retiring early due to an injury.
Jackson married Sandy Mancik (also a ‘72 Central graduate) on July 28, 1972. He was a Warrior and battled hard to reach the 50-year Anniversary milestone with Sandy, but missed it by three weeks. Together they shared three children, seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Family was very important to him as were his friends.
Jackson loved his Native culture. He danced fancy dance hoop dances. He was also a member of the War Eagle Dancing Club, entertaining tourists throughout the area.
Surviving Jackson besides his beloved wife Sandy and his children and grandchildren, he is also survived by his father, one brother and one sister. His mother and sister preceded him in death.
